Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Precept Admissions (“we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the Service and never sell your personal information.

Information We Collect

• Account information — your name and email address, and a password that is stored only in salted, hashed form (we never store your password in plain text).
• Purchase records — the fact that you enrolled and the transaction reference from our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVC, or expiry; those go directly to Stripe.
• Content you submit — such as a review, including the name and text you choose to post.
• Technical data — a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in, and your IP address, used transiently for security and to rate-limit abuse. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How We Use Your Information

• To create your account and provide access to the Course.
• To process your payment and record your enrollment.
• To send transactional email you request, such as password-reset links.
• To secure the Service and prevent fraud and abuse.

Service Providers

We share limited information with trusted providers only as needed to operate the Service:

• Stripe — payment processing (handles your card details directly).
• Turso — hosted database for your account and enrollment records.
• Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
• Google (Gmail) — delivery of transactional email.

These providers process your data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy commitments.

Cookies

We use one essential, HttpOnly session cookie so you can stay signed in. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. If you clear it or sign out, you will simply need to sign in again.

Data Retention

We keep your account and enrollment information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Course. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see below).

Your Rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing us at preceptadmissions@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor those rights where they apply.

Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Minors should use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Security

We protect your information with measures including password hashing, encrypted connections (HTTPS), signed session cookies, and strict server security headers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

We may update this Policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
